| Q:
The stamping die falls off due to the old type of fixing.
| A:
Solution:Old type of fixing a stamping die on the honeycomb plate is by gluing. If the material is not smooth on surface or not clean or glue is not evenly spread or temperature is not high, all these can affect the die falling off.

| Q:
Characters are not clear after stamping
| A:
Solution:Probably caused by following: 1. Foil is not suitable. 2. Temperature is too high or pressure too much. Pressure has been applied before make ready is done properly. 3. The stamping die is not made properly.
| Q:
Stamping print has no gloss
| A:
Solution:1.Make sure that the original gloss of foil is normal. 2. Lower the temperature and make the pressure stable.

| Q:
Stamping print fuzzing
| A:
Solution:1. Temperature is too high or pressure too much. 2. No matter how the stamping die is made, all those lines, characters or labels shall be flat and smooth. Any sunken or deformation can cause the print fuzzing.
| Q:
Foiled characters are not complete
| A:
Solution:Caused by those strokes of characters are too slim and sharp, too much pressure is applied during stamping process. Choose the characters which are suitable for stamping.

| Q:
Reverse pull
| A:
Solution:1. For those surface coated stock, select relatively high viscosity foil which suits low and medium temperature. 2. Apart from foil material, select foil stamping machine with foil pull device to avoid the problem. Foiled paper and foil shall be separated at the same direction to avoid the problem.
| Q:
Foil stamping cannot be done on stock
| A:
Solution:1. Check if there is coating or laminating on stock. 2. Select the proper foil as different foil has different feature.
| Q:
Spill of glue at gluing edge
| A:
Solution:Less glue quantity and wider width. Watch out for pressure at delivery. Use sprayer glue if possible.
| Q:
Blank edge after diecutting
| A:
Solution:If multiple boxes at one die board, use double knives for the distance among multiple boxes.
| Q:
Longer time to change jobs
| A:
Solution:1. For long run jobs, prepare more chases and cutting plates to shorten make ready time. Take notes of guides and pressure adjustment of previous job for future reference. 2. Prepare a set of sample making equipment.
| Q:
Split along the creasing on finished products
| A:
Solution:Manage to find out if the knives and rules fixed at die board match the matrix at the cutting plate and check the lock up system. Replace or adjust the incorrect items if necessary.

| Q:
Irregular creasing
| A:
Solution:1.Formula for calculating: European standard:thickness of stock×1.5+0.71= creasing slot width (paperboard or cardboard); thickness of stock ×2+1.42(or 1.5)= creasing slot width ( corrugated board). Asian standard :thickness of stock ×1.8+0.71= creasing slot width (paperboard or cardboard); thickness of stock×2.2+1.42(或1.5)= creasing slot width (corrugated board). Icon:thickness of stock ×2+0.71= creasing slot width (paperboard or cardboard); thickness of stock ×2.4+1.42(or 1.5)creasing slot width (corrugated board).Creasing slot depth is one third of the slot width.(paperboard or cardboard). 2. The making of die board shall match the height of creasing according to the thickness of stock.

| Q:
Creasing not clear and deep enough
| A:
Solution:1. Work out die board correctly.2. Add about 0.05mm thickness stainless steel strips with glue to the back of die board. The same thickness of pressure sensitive sticks can also be used instead to ensure the creasing is deep enough.
| Q:
The trace of diecutting and creasing not clean enough
| A:
Solution:Most probably caused by short fibre of stock. Pay attention to the quality of knives and rules. The rubber sticks between the boxes shall be 70 - 85 in hardness. Also about 1mm away from the knife position when gluing the sticks.
| Q:
Box shape is not correct
| A:
Solution: 1. Can be caused by too hard sticks or too close fixing so as to make the knives and rules deformed. 2. Can be caused by knives arrangement not in a right angle. 3. Knives and rules arrangement does not made according to the thickness of stock.
| Q:
Diecutting and creasing sizes cannot be controlled accurately
| A:
Solution: 1. Keep stock in a reasonable humidity. 2. During working process, if some deformation of stock is found, add some more rubber sticks between the box patterns. These added rubber sticks shall not be too hard. 3. Some flexing measures can also be taken in the making of knives and rules.

Up and down of the delivery table on 1050 series
| A:
Up and down of the delivery table is controlled by a brake motor,a pile height photocell, limit switches and a delivery table. The delivery can be lifted and lowered manually or lowered automatically. When the machine is in normal operation and the pile reaches the certain height, the photocell will react and the pile will be lowred automatically. When the table reaches the limit switch in the middle, the lowering speed will be slower. When the table reaches the lower limit switch, the delivery cart shall be replaced. When the cart moves to the top position, press the speed button so that the machine can return to the original speed.

Electrical zero position floating on 1050 series
| A:
Fing the encoder (omron brand) and turn the bakelite gear slightly on the encoder. If it can be moved, it means that the fixed screw of the gear may loose or the shaft may break. For repairing, jog the platen to the top position and stop it as soon as the gripper bar sprocket starts moving. Turn the encoder shaft till the electronic cam shows 140 degree and fix the screw so that mechanical zero position matches the electronic zero. For synchronous encoder, do the same till 70 degree.
