20 years ago, under the care of Mr. Zhu Rongji, mayor of Shanghai at that time, the first Sino-foreign joint venture in the printing machinery building industry in China - Shanghai Yawa Printing Machinery Co., Ltd. was set up. Over the past twenty years, Yawa not only made great progress in the printing machinery building industry but also has developed into a well-known manufacturer of post-press equipment. 10 years ago, to make up for the rotary cutting technology in China, Shanghai Yawa introduced world advanced technology from Bernal Int. in USA and another joint-venture, Shanghai Bernal-Yawa was set up, which became the first supplier and manufacturer of rotary cutting equipment and dies in China. From then on, the customers in China had one more choice of cutting technology, platen or rotary. Also, the diecutting, foil stamping and folder and gluer equipment produced by Yawa as well as rotary cutting equipment and dies by Bernal-Yawa started to export to the countries all over the world.
On November 18, 2008, over 300 guests in the printing industry from home and abroad gathered at Shanghai Yawa Printing Machinery Co., Ltd. to celebrate 20th anniversary of establishment of Yawa and 10th anniversary of Bernal-Yawa. Set automatic diecutting press MW 1450 as background of the celebration, warmly speeches were delivered by VIPs and guests at the celebration.
13 sets of equipment scattered around the clean and bright assembly shop with background music of "Today was a good day,". The demonstrated equipment includes the following: automatic diecutting press model MW 1050YA with a working speed of 7,500s/h; automatic folder and gluer model ZH 800B equipped with 12 cold glue spray guns and 3 hot glue spray guns; automatic tray former model ZHL650 with a speed of 9,000s/h to produce lunch boxes; automatic foil stamping and diecutting press model TYM 1050YA with stripping unit; automatic foil stamping and diecutting press model TYM920SP with two directions of foil puller; automatic foil stamping and diecutting press model TYM790; automatic foil stamping and diecutting press model TYM1050Y which can handle light sheets for foil stamping; automatic vertical type foil stamping and diecutting press model TYML750A; automatic label punching machine model CBQ; hand-fed creasing and cutting press model PYQ 2000 with less noise. Also demonstrated were Bernal-Yawa produced rotary cutting production line and the rotary die for 250ml pack box. From all these products, you can see the fine manufacturing technology and strict assembly standard.
The celebration starts with the introductions of the past, present and future of two companies made respectively by Mr. Dai Yuanlun, vice president of Shanghai electric group printing and packaging machinery group, chairman of BOD of Shanghai Yawa Printing Machinery Co., Ltd. and Mr. Maurizio Trecate, general manager of Cirroti (Asia) and chairman of BOD of Shanghai Bernal-Yawa. After Mr. Cao Min,Vice chairman of BOD and president of Shanghai Electric Printing and Packaging Machinery Group, delivered a warm-hearted speech, two representatives of customers recalled their cooperation with Yawa over the past years. The celebration at Yawa ended happily with the opening of two magical balls by VIPs, colorful paper fireworks and music of “happy birthday to you”. In the evening all the guests had a banquet at Shanghai Radisson Hotel. During the banquet, a excellent performance was shown. And the chorus of Yawa also performed the song “A Grateful Heart” . At this moment, Mr. Fan Feiran, director of BOD and vice general manager of Shanghai Yawa Printing Machinery Co.,Ltd, general manager of Shanghai Bernal-Yawa hand-in-hand with all the senior managers of two companies came to the stage to bow their thanks to the guests and expected to meet them next year, next 10 years and next 20 years.
